Where They Went shows maps of where characters travel in films. You can use the whole site without an account, and we do not ask you for any personal information.

The site is run by Supervõimed OÜ (registry code 16544363, Estonia), which is the controller of any personal data processed here.

What we collect

• Server logs. Our hosting provider Railway runs the site on servers in the European Union (the Netherlands) and records technical request data such as IP address, browser and the page requested, to run and protect the service. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify you.
• Map tiles. Maps are loaded from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address when your browser requests map images.
• No analytics or tracking of our own. We do not use our own analytics, tracking pixels or marketing cookies.

Reporting a mistake

If you use the “Report a mistake” form, we store what you write and, only if you give it, your email address so we can reply. The email address is deleted when we close the report. We do not store your IP address; it is used only briefly, in memory, to limit how many reports can be sent.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data about you we hold, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Since we don't hold accounts or personal data beyond the logs described above, there is usually nothing to retrieve, but we will answer every request.
